Dear members of the Slovenian community in New York & friends! As announced in our newsletter, I would like to warmly invite you to a special free screening of the Slovenian film Exodus 1945: Our Blood on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 11:15 AM, that is – we start right after the Mass - with the Slovenian sausages served during the film.
This is a high-quality film by Slovenian filmmakers that has already received strong interest in Slovenia and among Slovenians abroad. After recent screenings for the Slovenian communities in Cleveland and Toronto, it is now coming to us here in New York.
The film will be shown in the original Slovenian language with English subtitles and runs for one hour. After the screening, producer David Sipoš will also join us for a short Q&A online right after screening.
The screening is free and open to all. For those who may be interested, willing, and able to support the continuation of the project and future parts of the film, there will also be an opportunity after the screening to make a voluntary contribution or discuss possible support, but attendance is completely free in any case.
